That is hard to answer because we don't have anything actually coded yet, so while we know what we want this to be like ... how it will actually end up being we simply don't know yet.

What I don't want to do is say "farming will work like this", and then realize we can't program it like that and end up with something else. i'd rather wait and be able to say exactly what farming will be.

We'll provide as much info as we can. As of right now, we are working to make the client larger ... as the client was written on an 800x600 monitor over a decade ago, I think it is past time for a larger client.

Hey Joe I usually look at the forums from time to time and saw a new skill was in progress. I think a good approach to farming would probably be just like how players own houses. Players can buy farmland and upgrade it similar to how houses are. You could implement a new item such as a crop pot of sorts that could be crafted using something, and when an item such as "seed" is dropped on the pot, a timer starts and the plant would grow in Queville time until it is ready for harvest. Just an idea.

Determination, Pride, and Courage is all it takes to be successful!

Thats why I don't want to say much, because the Player House is also going to be changed - instead of buying it, you will need to collect the supplies to "build" it.

It will be part of an expansion of wood cutting, although I'm not sure it will qualify as a "skill" ... just an expansion. There will be a saw mill that turns wood into "boards" that can then be used to build things.

So... will this include a skill reset/loss of skills?

I see now. Im sorry I kind of spoiled it, but thats one very good way to move players away from grinding skills and presenting gradual rewards for players to aim for.
