I'm just skipping the exit city part, for now, by setting $x to -1 to mean no action, instead. The temporary check can be removed once we have the exit city working, unless we want there to be a no-action option. I don't have items or static things in cities, yet, either. I'll upload what I have after I squash a city multiplayer bug. I was walking in a city as a single-player area, but want to test all 4 screens more...

Good idea - just drop people into any z-location until we figure it out. :)

I've got the computer setup on a desk, should be able to get some coding done after planting season - let me know when you upload, I don't want to do anything until after you upload.

Sorry it took so long. Busy time of the year for me. I'm trying to upload now. I didn't have time to implement static or dynamic items, but the tile editor should work. Just teleport to a map with a lowercase letter as the second character, and the server should know it's a city.

Rats. I think it botched the upload. Lagging like some kind of memory leak... I'm going to restart and try again. I have a backup of the files that were there, just in case...

Sigh. It's not working on the dev server. I'm putting things back the way they were, except for a few bug fixes in client code, such as fixing the chat popping up after failed login. I'm not sure if the server was working before I did the upload, actually. It still gets an error, but I don't have time to figure out what's wrong, right now, but hopefully I'll get some time tomorrow... How do you get the error messages in the browser? I've been using perl -c locally...
