I want to get into coding dragon basher but I'm very new to coding and perl seems like a hard language to get into, what should be my approach?

Perl is easy, especially the way I use it (an upscale version of BASIC). :)

Do you have a running LAMP - Linux Apache MySQL Perl - you don't actually need MySQL, but Perl and Apache are used to run the 'dragon' server.

I actually got Dragon Basher running on windows over the summer so I may be able to help if you want to go that route, but that was a while ago so I don't remember where I even started.

Apache for Windows and Strawberry Perl for a start.

As for learning to program, I'm not sure I'd recommend you start with Perl. I'm sure you can find a course online that teaches you Python or something similar - Perl has some tricky nuances that can make it hard to understand, and for a beginner it's all about the concepts anyways.

This is the actual tutorial I used to learn Perl, I had already known how to program other languages.
